As he comes close to completing one year in office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi courted controversy yet again with his comment on the Indian diaspora. At the time, he was on tour in Shanghai, addressing the Indian Community there. His remarks sparked a bitter backlash with #ModiInsultsIndia becoming the top trend on Twitter.
