Scribes expulsion: US supports ability to report freely

The US has said it supports the ability of scribes to freely report on countries around the world, a day after Pakistan expelled the two Indian journalists posted there without assigning any reason.

"Well, I'm not familiar with the specifics (of the case), and I don't know all of the details," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters yesterday when asked about the decision of the Pakistan government to expel the two Indian journalists.
