Agra property mela on Friday

Vishal Sharma Agra
To strengthen their hold on the Agra real estate market, almost a dozen property developers of the National Capital Region will be participating in a three-day "property expo" being held in Agra from Friday.

The Ansals, Omaxe, or Parsvnath, these real estate developers from Delhi have made a significant impact on the property scene in Agra lately, launching a number of new housing and commercial projects within this year.

But these projects have all been suffering from a major setback, which was the inability of the locals to get in touch directly with the developers to settle their queries.

To overcome this communication gap, all the NCR-based property developers currently active in Agra are coming on a common platform through this property expo which will be held during December 2-4 at the Agra BSNL stadium.

According to the expo committee sources, at least 12-13 property developers from the NCR like the Ansal group, Omaxe, Taneja Developers, Parsvnath and the Sri group were participating in this expo besides another 15-16 real estate developers from Agra, including the Agra Development Authority (ADA).

The expo will be also attended by the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE), which is participating in any such event for the first time.

According to the association secretary, Ajit Fauzdar, the association of engineers will spend three days at the expo, providing consultation to the would-be home owners on how to design a low-cost and attractive home and make their dream home a reality.

Fauzdar said as Agra came under an earthquake-prone zone, the association engineers would be giving consultations on integrating the newly developed earthquake protection techniques with the existing as well as the under construction buildings.

According to expo sources, besides engineers, the companies engaged in the production of building material from iron bars, cement, girders, etc. will be participating directly in the expo instead of coming through their dealers, making it yet another "first" for Agra.
