Amity opens Jaipur campus

| The Amity Group of Institutions, a leading education provider with 18 campuses in Delhi, Noida, Raipur, Gurgaon, Manesar, Lucknow and Bhu-baneswar, has set up a 1,500- acre campus here. |
| The residential campus is nestled in the Aravalli Hills on the National Highway No 8, just half-an-hour outside the city. |
| Addressing reporters here recently, Ashok K Chauhan, founder president of the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) said Amity was attracting the best talent of the country. |
| Seven former vice-chancellors, seven retired generals, a former chairman of the University Grants Commission, a former vice-chairman of the All-India Council for Technical Education, a former secretary-general of the Association of Indian Universities as well as several scientists and technologists were leading the around 1,500-strong core faculty, he added. |
| Chauhan said in the Amity campuses would be set up in all parts of the country and abroad. |
| Amity Jaipur will start functioning in August 2004. It will provide graduate and post-graduate programmes in management, communication, biotechnology, information technology, engineering, hotel management, law, behavioural sciences, insurance, travel and tourism, fine arts and designing. |
| The Amity Group of Educational Institutions was established in 1991 under the aegis of RBEF, a non-profit organisation. Since then, the group has registered rapid growth with over 22,000 students studying over 130 programmes across 18 campuses. |
