The Union ministry of statistics and programme implementation (MOSPI) will undertake an impact study in the districts across the country where the Centre's flagship programme- Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) has been executed.
"I am trying to conduct, through my ministry, an impartial impact study by international level agencies in the districts where RGGVY has already been executed”, Srikant Kumar Jena, Union minister of state for independent charge (statistics and programme implementation) said here at a review meeting on implementation of RGGVY.
Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), the nodal agency for implementing the programme, is already doing an impact study in 20 states of the country.
Jena said, “After getting the reports from REC, we will be able to study further at the micro level so that missing links in the project execution can be identified.”
