Chhattisgarh Budget gets hi-tech look

Chhattisgarh has become the first state of India to take suggestions of common people on the Budget

Chhattisgrah would deploy information technology tools like facebook and twitter for updating common people with details of state's annual budget that would be presented later in the week.

The state officials claimed that Chhattisgarh has also taken a step ahead to become the first state of India to take suggestions of common people on the budget. Chief Minister Raman Singh has appealed people of the state to share their expectations and suggestions about state government's Budget for fiscal 2015-16.

Dr Singh has requested youngsters, farmers, businessmen, employees, women, senior citizens and other sections of the society to send their suggestions and expectations for the general budget on Chief Minister's official website www.cmo.cg.gov.in. Department-wise listing of the suggestions received on website was in process.
 

Nearly 4 million mobile users have been requested through SMS to give their opinion about state's upcoming budget on CMO website. On opening CMO website, a window titled "Aam Jan Ki Ummide- Chhattisgarh Ke Budget Me Humse Sajha Kare" would appear. On clicking on this window, a format would appear on which the user would send the feed.

The Chief Minister is also the Finance Minister of state. He would be presenting state's general budget for the financial year 2015-16 in Legislative Assembly on March 13.

The officials said that all the major points of Chief Minister's budget speech would be continuously updated on facebook and twitter to that people could get live information and updates.
