Conde Nast puts India sixth on tourist list

| India has been ranked sixth among the top ten tourist destinations by Conde Nast Traveller, a United Kingdom magazine, in its annual readers' travel awards 2004. |
| India has grabbed the sixth position, up from the ninth spot last year. |
| The magazine ranked Rajvilas, Jaipur, as third in the overseas leisure hotels category for Asia. |
| Meanwhile, the Taj Exotica resort and spa, Maldives, has been been ranked number three in that category for Africa, Indian Ocean and the Middle-East, the magazine said in a release. |
| According to the magazine, the top five destinations in its survey are Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Singapore and Italy. |
| Commenting on India's ranking by the magazine, Tourism Minister Renuka Choudhary made a statement. |
| The Indian tourism minister said that India was an incredible destination with myriad experiences and the world was rediscovering it. |
