Govt to set up handicraft and handloom museum

The Odisha government has decided to set up a state museum of handicraft and handloom at Gondamunda on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar at an investment of Rs 12 crore. Spread over an area of 12.68 acres, the museum will house handloom block, handicraft block, one open air theatre, village complex, workshop block, souvenir shop, and cafeteria. For designing the museum, the state government will take the advice of Rahul Jain, Director, Prince of Wales museum-Mumbai and Sobita Punja, Head National Culture Fund.
