Hospital to perform transplantations in Bangalore

| Bangalore is set to see a hospital specialising in organ transplants in August. The 500-bed hospital, coming up on Mysore Road, is a joint-venture between the Hyderabad-based Global Hospitals and BGS Trust. |
| The hospital will be operated and run by the Global Hospital while the building for the hospital and the land is owned by the BGS Trust. |
| The Hyderabad-based Global Hospitals was started in 1998 and has been focussing on multi-organ transplantations and a few other specialisations. The hospital has performed over 50 liver transplants. |
| Dr K Ravindranath, chairman, BGS Hospital said, "BGS Global will have five focussed centres in tertiary care and transplantation such as institutes for gastroenterology, live and multi-organ transplantation, neurosciences, orthopaedic and trauma services among others." |
