IMT Ghaziabad now in the east

Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad on Tuesday launched its Kolkata chapter.

Saroj Datta, head "" eastern region, said the Institute of Management Kolkata would start off with distance learning programmes (DLP) and e-learning. He added that later IMT would follow with a full-time programme in the east.

P S Bajaj, chairman of DLP, said, "We see an enormous opportunity here in the east for management studies. Our DLP has seen a steady increase of applications from this part of the country and we wanted to set up a regular regional centre to cater to our students' day-to-day needs and make the course more interactive for them."

This institute has also tied up with various corporates like GE Corp and Ericsson for their executive programmes.

The DLP was affiliated to Vidyasagar University nationally to give academic credibility to the programme.
