India and Spain need to enhance trade in agricultural products, which currently account for only two per cent of their total bilateral trade, a top Spanish diplomat said.

</p><p class='TableClas'>The trade is mainly in machine tools, chemicals and electrical equipment but there is not much in agriculture products, he said.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <BR>Last year, Spain exported goods worth Euro 742-million to India while its imports stood at Euro 2,187-million.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>India has a good market for its textiles, apparel and chemical products in Spain.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Spanish exports to India mainly consist of chemical products, iron, steel and machine tools.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Spanish Foreign Direct Investment in India in 2007 stood at Euro 16.6-million, according to data from the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain. </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
