Inflation down due to monetary measures: FM

| Finance Minister P Chidambaram today said the decline in inflation was due to steps taken on the monetary side. However, he said government would continue to keep a watch on prices. Wholesale price-based inflation has come down to a 5-year low of 3.02% for the week ended October 20. "Inflation is down because we have taken steps on the monetary side. We will continue to watch prices," Chidambaram said in the capital. |
