Internet Telephony To Take Off By April 1 Next Year
The government today said the ban on Internet telephony would be lifted by April 1, 2002. The date also coincides with the opening up of the international long distance market to private players.
Announcing the date at the Economic Editors Conference, communications, IT and parliamentary affairs minister Pramod Mahajan said:
