Jaipur design institute grows steadily

The International Polytechnic for Design (IPD), the Jaipur-based institute giving courses to students in fashion, jewellery, and advertising, has grown manifold in the past five years. The institute was established in 2000.

After making a mark for themselves the promoters came up with a novel idea and the Rajasthan Culture and Fashion Development Foundation was the second big initiative wherein the main objective was to promote culture and design talent from Rajasthan to the rest part of the country and globe.

Rajasthan Culture and Fashion Development Foundation is a similar initiative in Rajasthan, like the Fashion Development Council Of India (FDCI).

"RCFDF focuses on the fashion, textile and jewellery promotion from Rajasthan with an aim of promoting Rajasthan culture and its heritage and providing young talent a platform. RCFDF provides job-oriented programmes like the Rajasthan Fashion Week, Delhi Fashion Week, Jaipur fashion week and other similar activities," said Vivek.

RCFDF in association with the the International Polytechnic For Design has also organised the Rajasthan Fashion Week in 2004, with nine fashion and jewellery shows.

The brands participated in the shows include big named like Janaknandani, Nikhar Fashions, Nikhar Creations, Manmandir Sarees, Jusra Jewels International, Praveen Jewellers and Motisons Jewellers.
