In order to fill-up around 80,000 vacancies in various departments of the state, the state government had appointed former director-general of police (DGP) Neyaz Ahmad as the chairman of the Jharkhand State
Staff Selection Commission (SSSC). But the former DGP had offered to quit the post owing to inordinate delay in the appointment of members of the commission and framing the rules of recruitment.
The SSSC is the state-run agency which conduct the recruitment drive to fill-up the vacancies in non-gazetted posts.
Due to paucity of required employees, the agriculture department has been suffering from monitoring works in various development schemes.
The department has now decided to outsource for the recruitment of village-level workers (VLW).
The agriculture department has invited expression of interest from professional agencies to recruit around 2,000 VLWs for the department.
