Journalists, who were joined by some NGO activists, also blocked the road in front of the police commissioner's office during the protest. "The complaint of sedition against journalists was a way to try to suppress the freedom of expression," a senior journalist said.
An NGO activist Dingat Oza said that police has been trying to choke the voice of press by such tactics. "Civil society should not allow this to happen," he added.
