Maternity and Childbirth: Signs of trouble?

There is a growing liberal attitude towards sex and earlier engagement in sexual activity, especially in urban areas of the country, with most abortions reported being in the age group below 20, a study by the NSSO  reveals. However, this same age group also records the highest wastage of pregnancy. Here is a look at the major numbers which the survey threw up around maternity and childbirth.
