Modi steals the 'At Home' show

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the centre of attraction at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, as he attended his first At Home event on Friday. President Pranab Mukherjee hosted the annual event on Independence Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan's Mughal Gardens. Modi was seen relaxed and smiling as he stepped out of the security cordon and mingled with the guests freely. Enthusiastic guests jostled with the security men to shake hands with him and some even attempted to take his autograph.

The guest list, which included the 'Who's Who' of the capital, had Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, senior BJP leader L K Advani, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with his wife Gursharan Kaur, Chief Justice of India R M Lodha, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan apart from Cabinet ministers, foreign dignitaries and special invitees.
