AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa today denied Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's charge that the government headed by her from 2001 to 2006 had not taken any steps to increase electricity generation and claimed that the state had become power surplus during that period, when 2047 Mw was added to the grid.
