Moschip Gets New Director

BUSINESS STANDARD

MosChip Semiconductor Technology has announced that M Rammohan Rao, the former director of IIM, Bangalore, has joined its board of directors. He fills the gap created by the resignation of V Ramesh in March 2003.

Rao holds a doctorate and MS in industrial automation from Carnegie Mellon University. He is currently the president of operations in Research Society of India and is a member of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority's advisory committee and CAG audit advisory committee.

The company has also announced that P S Narayanan, the director (engineering), has taken over as the vice-president (engineering) from Vivek Kumar Gupta who left the company on personal reasons. Narayanan worked for twenty years in Silicon Valley for companies such as Cirrus Logic, NeoMagic and Luxxon before joining MosChip.
