Nashik civic body revenues up 21 per cent

Of this which, octroi accounted for Rs 370 crore, property and other taxes Rs 67.87 crore, development tax Rs 11 crore and water cess contributed Rs 26 crore.

Last year, while Rs 309.21 crore came by way of octroi, property & other taxes stood at Rs 51.61 crore, development tax Rs 10.48 crore and Rs 21.38 crore was from water cess, NMC sources said.

 

For the current fiscal 2008-09, the civic body has set the revenue recovery target of Rs 563.82 crore. It expects a revenue of Rs 425 crore through octroi, Rs 90.32 crore through property and other taxes, Rs 15 crore through development Tax and Rs 33.50 crore through water cess.
