State-owned trading major PEC Ltd has invited bids for sale of about 20,262 million tonne (MT) of imported yellow peas in the domestic market.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>The minimum bid quantity is 3,000 MT. PEC reserves the right to offer more quantity for sale from any of the go-downs to successful bidders. The yellow pea in the country is estimated at 15.19 MT in 2007-08 crop year, compared to 14.20 MT in the previous season. </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The domestic demand of pulses stands at around 17-18 MT. The gap is expected to be met through imports.</P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
