The Railway Budget, scheduled to be presented in the Lok Sabha on July 3, would be a “pro-people Budget”, Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said in New Delhi on Wednesday.
"It will be a pro-people Budget, a simple Budget, people's Budget," Banerjee told reporters after the all party meeting on the eve of the Budget session of Parliament.
She said the expectation was high from the Railway Budget and added that she barely got 15 days to work on it as the concerned officials were busy preparing it.
