The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has instructed all income tax offices to function on March 31, the last day of the financial year.
Also the offices of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will remain open for accepting government receipts, an official spokesman said here today. Members and general public are informed that offices will be open from 10 am to 5 pm for accepting government receipts, he said.
Accordingly, Income Tax offices will function from 9.30 am to 6 pm tomorrow to handle year-end rush.
Arrangements have been made to enable tax payers to file their I-T returns conveniently, an official statement said.
