TN allocates Rs 323 cr towards relief assistance

The Tamil Nadu government has allocated Rs 323.61 crore towards relief assistance from the state disaster response fund.

Besides, Rs 25 crore (Rs 5 crore for each year from 2010-15) has been provided as grant towards capacity building for disaster management, based on the 13th Finance Commission’s recommendation, according to a policy note placed by revenue minister KA Sengottaiyan.
