Under-recovery on diesel down to Rs 6.52 per litre

The under recovery on diesel as on March 16 was Rs 8.64 per litre

Owing to the government's policy for phase-wise decontrol of diesel, the under-recovery on diesel has gone down to Rs 6.52 per litre.

The under recovery on diesel as on March 16 was Rs 8.64 per litre. Accordingly, the under-recovery on In case of PDS kerosene and domestic LPG, under-recoveries for the month of April 2013 are lower at Rs 30.50 per litre and Rs 434.50/cylinder respectively. The Under-recoveries on PDS Kerosene domestic LPG which are computed on monthly basis, were Rs 8.64/litre and Rs 439/cylinder respectively during March 2013. The Centre had gone for diesel decontrol in January.

Effective from 01 April 2013, OMCs will be incurring daily under-recovery of about Rs 349 crore on the sale of diesel, PDS kerosene and domestic LPG. This was Rs 407 crore per day for the previous fortnight effective March 16.
