To showcase industrial infrastructure and the ‘ease of doing business’ initiatives under the incumbent Akhilesh Yadav government, Uttar Pradesh would participate in the BRICS Trade Fair later this week.
BRICS Trade Fair, scheduled during October 12-14, 2016 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, is being organised by the union ministry of commerce and industry in consort with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci).
The state would reach out to prospective investors and industrialists through presentations, films, brochures etc.

A high-level team of government officials would be partaking in this international trade fair involving investors and top companies from BRICS constituent nations viz. Brazil, Russia, India, China and new entrant South Africa.
The UP delegation would comprise state secretary of infrastructure & industrial development and Udyog Bandhu executive director Alaknanda Dayal, UP State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) managing director Amit Kumar Ghosh, Greater Noida Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Deepak Agarwal, NOIDA CEO P K Agarwal, besides senior official of the IT & electronics department.
Dayal further informed a session on ‘Investment Opportunities by States of India’ is also slated on October 12, where a presentation would be made on the investment friendly policies and the “world-class” infrastructure facilities being developed by the government.
Upcoming mega infrastructure and industrial projects in UP, like- Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Lucknow-Ballia Purvanchal Expressway, Metro rails, projects under Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) & Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC), Lucknow IT City, Trans Ganga Hi-tech City, Unnao; Sarswati Hi-tech city, Allahabad; Perfume Park & Museum, Kannauj; cycle tracks, Plastic City Auraiya; Lucknow international cricket stadium etc would be showcased in the exposition.
