Will Joshi go the Nitish way?

When CP Joshi addresses his first formal press conference as railway minister on Monday, many expect him to do a Nitish Kumar.

As railway minister between 2001 and 2004 during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rule, Kumar had introduced many reforms in the functioning of the country’s largest transporter.

A little over a fortnight after taking over from Mukul Roy, who quit after his party, the Trinamool Congress (TMC), withdrew support to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, officials in Rail Bhavan expect Joshi, would take hard decisions such as increasing passenger rates.
