Agarwal takes over as SBI MD

Yogesh Agarwal assumed charge as managing director & group executive (national banking) of State Bank of India on October 10, 2006.

Agarwal joined SBI as a probationary officer in 1972. Prior to taking over as managing director of SBI, Agarwal was the managing director of State Bank of Patiala.
