Axis Bank announces Somnath Sengupta as ED, CFO

Axis Bank today announced that it has elevated its president (finance and accounts) Somnath Sengupta as executive director and chief financial officer of the bank with effect from October 1.

Sengputa will no be a member of the board of directors of the bank, Axis Bank said.

The bank's shares were trading at Rs 984.40, nearly 2.40 per cent down from Friday's close, at 11.30 am. Benchmark BSE Sensex lost 0.80 per cent in the morning trade
