BoM opts out of insurance venture

| Pune-based public sector bank Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) has decided to opt out of the joint venture with Shriram Financial Services and Sanlam of South Africa to provide general insurance products. BoM had announced plans to enter the general insurance business along with Shriram and Sanlam in December 2007. |
