Forex reserves down $2mn at $228.85bn

Foreign exchange reserves declined marginally ($2 million) to $228.847 billion for the week ended August 31, according to data released by the RBI today.

Foreign currency assets were up $4 million at $221.509 billion. Gold reserves declined $6 million to $6.881 billion.

SDRs and Reserve Position in the IMF were unchanged at $2 million and $455 million, respectively.
