Forex reserves rise to $317 bn

The country's foreign exchange reserves rose to $316.83 billion as of December 12, compared with $314.66 billion a week earlier, the Reserve Bank of India said on Friday.
For the week under review, the Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) rose by $19.9 million to $4.23 billion, while India's reserve position with IMF was down $253.5 million to $1.26 billion.
