Forex reserves up $696mn at $276.26bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $696 million to $276.255 billion for the week ended January 4, according to data released by RBI on Friday.

Foreign currency assets were up $724 million at $267.491 billion. Gold reserves declined $29 million to $8.328 billion. SDRs were unchanged at $3 million.

Reserve Position in the IMF was up $1 million at $433 million.
