Kotak Mahindra Bank Q3 net soars 71%

Kotak Mahindra Bank's net profit for the third quarter ended December 2005 soared 71% to Rs 32.64 crore from Rs 19.10 crore in December 2004.

According to a release issued by Kotak Mahindra Bank to the BSE, the bank's total income increased by 61% to Rs 230.93 crore from Rs 143.22 crore.

Uday Kotak, executive vice chairman & managing director of the bank, said: "We continue to build an integrated financial services business. We see three big opportunities for growth; growing urbanisation, increased smaller town and rural participation and international integration."
