• Headline inflation stood at 5.91 per cent, which was higher than the market expectations.
• Prices in long-term securities soared by 40-50 paise, while those of the medium-term papers prices increased 25-30 paise.
• The yield on the ten-year benchmark gilt, 7.37 per cent 2014, closed at 5.31 per cent.
