Sentiment: Bullish

Despite a bullish undertone, the prices of government securities fell on OMO apprehensions.

Prices of long-term papers fell by almost 10-15 paise, while those of short-term and medium-term ones remained flat.

The yield on the ten-year benchmark paper, 9.81 per cent 2013, closed higher at 5.2817 per cent compared with 5.2676 per cent on Thursday.

Call money was lent at 4.5 per cent. More than Rs 17,000 crore was offered in repos.

The rupee opened at 45.91/93 per dollar and declined to 45.95 on dollar demand for banks
