Re down by 14 paise against $ in early trade

The rupee today weakened by 14 paise to Rs 44.33 a dollar in early trade as the US currency firmed up against other major world currencies.
Dealers said weakness in other Asian currencies against the dollar put pressure on the Indian rupee.
However, continued capital inflows by foreign funds into equities, capped its losses.
The rupee had gained 30 paise to close at 25-month high of Rs 44.19/20 a dollar in the previous session, following selling of dollars by banks and importers.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex bounced by 92.30 points to 20,407.62 points in the morning trade today, after yesterday's losses.
