Rupee gains 13 paise against $ in early trade

The Indian rupee rose by 13 paise to Rs 45.05 per dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, supported by higher opening in the domestic stock market and dollar's weakness against other Asian currencies overseas.
Forex dealers said a higher opening in the stock market and dollar losses against other Asian currencies kept the rupee sentiment firm.
The rupee had lost 7 paise to close at Rs 45.18/19 per dollar in the previous session.
Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex today opened 109.74 points, or 0.60% up at 18,259.61 level.
