Sbi Q4 Net Rises 20% At Rs 738 Crore

The State Bank of India (SBI) registered a 20 per cent increase in net profit in the last quarter of 2002-03 at Rs 738 crore from Rs 616 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

For the entire financial year, the bank saw a 27.69 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 3,105 crore, against Rs 2,431.62 crore in 2001-02.

SBI has declared an 85 per cent dividend. Operating profit increased 28.63 per cent to Rs 7,775.4 crore, against Rs 6,044.83 crore in 2001-02.
