Sc Asks Fm To Settle Nhb- Sbi Spat On Harshad A/C Money

The Supreme Court has asked the Union finance minister to bring about an amicable settlement between the National Housing Bank (NHB) and State Bank of India (SBI) in their dispute over more than Rs 700 crore allegedly credited to the account of stock broker Harshad Mehta a decade ago.
The bench headed by Chief justice B N Kirpal stated in its order that prolonging the dispute would benefit only the lawyers. Therefore, the finance minister must find an amicable solution
