StanChart names Hemant Mishr as Global markets head in India

Foreign lender, Standard Chartered, today announced the appointment of Hemant Mishr as head of Global markets in the country.        

Mishr was heading the bank's financial markets sales division for India and South Asia since 2004.         He will lead the foreign lender's global market agenda for India, which is StanChart's second largest business in the country and comprises nearly 100 members.        

The service offerings in this division include foreign exchange, fixed income, commodities and derivatives, the bank said in a statement said.        

Mishr had joined ANZ Grindlays in June, 1997, which was later acquired by StanChart in 2000. Prior to that he had served Larsen & Toubro.

tanChart has 90 branches and 33 cities in the country and has a retail customer base of 21 lakh and 1,000 corporate clients.
