IAF Su-30MKI Crashes near Tezpur Air Base
An Indian Air Force (IAF) Su-30MKI fighter aircraft was on a routine sortie. It crashed at about 1230 hrs, today around 36 kms south of Tezpur in Assam. The aircraft took off at 1217 hrs from Tezpur air base. Both the pilots safely ejected. A Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered to investigate into the cause of the accident. RCD/BSK
