Multi-Role Helicopters
Capital procurement requirements of the defence forces are reflected in the 15 year Long Term Integrated Perspective Plan (LTIPP). The procurement process is based on LTIPP (2012-27), five year Services Capital Acquisition Plan (SCAP) (2012-17) and Annual Acquisition Plan (AAP) (2014-16). Sometimes mismatch between requirement and availability of helicopters with the Navy occurs, which is continuously addressed by the ongoing procurement process.
At present, Advance Light Helicopters (ALH) for the defence forces are being indigenously manufactured by M/s HAL.
