Press Communique-President appoints Governors
The President has been pleased to make the following appointments:-
(a) Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana to discharge the functions of the Governor of Punjab, in addition to his own duties till further orders and also as Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh vice Shri Shivraj V. Patil, who completes his tenure on 21.1.2015.
(b) Shri Kalyan Singh, Governor of Rajasthan, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, till further orders vice Smt. Urmila Singh, who completes her tenure on 24.1.2015.
