Shri Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs today left for Port Blair on a three day visit to Chair a meeting of the Committee of Eminent Freedom Fighters.
The Committee of Eminent Freedom Fighters under the Chairmanship of Sh. Kiren Rijiju has been constituted to look into the issues of concerns to the freedom fighters, their general problems and grievances, facilities to the freedom fighters and to their eligible dependents and give suggestions for improvement therein. The Committee will give suggestions for the expeditious redressal of grievances of freedom fighters.
The Committee has Smt.Rampilla Narasayamma, Shri Radheshwar Prasad Singh, Shri Daya Ram Kalwani, Shri Om Prakash, Shri N.R.Mathad, Shri Rai Singh Patanga, Shri Vidya Sagar Shukla, Sh.Gauranga Sundar Mitra as eight members and Joint Secretary (Freedom Fighters and Rehabilitation) Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as Member Secretary.
