The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari inaugurated a Photo Exhibition on the occasion of '134th Birth anniversary of Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Ansari' organized by the Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics in Jamia Millia Islamia here today. The Photo Exhibition has been curated by Prof. S.M. Akhtar.
The Vice President visited the Photo Exhibition and showed keen interest in various photographs exhibited there. He congratulated the organizers for such a valuable exhibition of rare photographs on Dr. Ansari.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari was an Indian nationalist and political leader, and former President of the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League during the Indian Independence Movement. One of the founders of the Jamia Millia Islamia University he remained its Chancellor 1928 to 1936.
