'It would be impossible not to be interested in India & China'

When Sandra Dawson, KPMG Professor of Management Studies at Cambridge, left school she decided she didn't want to have anything to do with Britain's ancient universities. She saw herself as a bit of a rebel and deliberately chose to go to one of the newest universities at that time, Keele.

Now she could hardly be more deeply dug into the ancient University of Cambridge. As well as her Chair, she is deputy vice-chancellor, a position which carries considerable responsibilities for the management of the whole university.

 

As if that wasn't enough she is the first woman to become Master, and she confirms that Master is still the right world, of one of the colleges which had traditionally been all male
