Ahmedabad University launches VentureStudio

Ahmedabad University (AU) has recently launched VentureStudio – an educational institution aimed at developing new companies that deliver products satisfying critical market needs in a way so that they can become a lucrative sources of revenue and provide social benefit.

The institution will offer a full-time six-month fellowship program for entrepreneurs, engineers, innovators and designers enabling them to learn and practice designing their own companies.

In a bid to help mindfully design a company itself as a product, Venture Studio will have fellows working in teams to identify critical market needs, find out novel solutions to satisfy these needs and develop business models capable of tapping the potential for the solutions and in the process launch new companies.VentureStudio fellows will be coached by an international team of faculty from AU. The initiative is being launched in collaboration with Center for Design Research at Stanford University while other partners include Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar and National Institute of Design (NID).
