Interns from top varsities head for Infy

| Infosys Technologies' Global Internship Programme, InStep, expects to take 100 students from 70 universities across the world, this year. |
| The universities include Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, Wharton, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, London Business School and Asia Institute of Management, Infosys said in a statement. |
| On Friday the programme started with 40 interns at the company's Bangalore campus. Nandan M Nilekani, CEO, president and managing director, Infosys Technologies, said, "An increasing number of students from across the world are coming to India to understand our business model." |
| InStep, which began with 300 applications for 14 positions 6 years ago, received over 9,000 applications for 100 positions this year. Geoffrey Gelman from Harvard Business School, said, "There has been a lot of debate in the United States on the growing role of India in the world economy. I wanted to investigate this trend." |
